Receiving your review
When your reviewer completes a round, how you receive the review depends on how you submitted the contract. You get the redlined .docx plus your reviewer's note when applicable.
How you are notified
| Submit path | Notification | Document |
|---|---|---|
| Portal or email | Email: Your contract review is ready | Redlined .docx attached to the email |
| Slack | Message in your submission thread | Redlined .docx attached in the thread |
Portal and email submissions do not receive Slack delivery attachments. Slack submissions do not receive a separate delivery email.
What you receive
Submitted via portal or email
- Email with subject like
Your contract review is ready: [contract name] - Redlined
.docxattached to the email - Reviewer note in the email body (if your reviewer added one at submit)
- Portal link to open the contract on your Dashboard
The email explains that billing appears on your monthly invoice, not at delivery time.
Submitted via Slack
- In-thread message that your review is ready
- Redlined
.docxattached in the thread - View in Platform button linking to your contract on the portal
Where to find it on the portal
Open the contract from your Dashboard. When the review is ready, the progress bar shows Ready as the active step. The main card shows:
- Your contract review is ready
- Reviewer name and contract title
- Your reviewer's note (same text as in the delivery email, when provided)
- Reviewed Document with a download chip for the redlined
.docx
History records Contract reviewed.
On the Dashboard, delivered contracts appear in the Delivered bucket. The card footer reads Review is complete and delivered. Stage shows Ready.
Using the redlined document
Download from the email attachment, the Slack thread, or the Reviewed Document chip on the contract page. The document contains tracked changes reflecting your reviewer's accepted edits. You can:
- Send it directly to your counterparty's legal team
- Incorporate selected changes into your own version
- Share with your internal deal team for approval
- Use it as the basis for your negotiation strategy
After you receive the review
Send the redlined document to your counterparty, incorporate changes internally, or request a clarification from your reviewer through the portal, by reply email, or in your Slack thread.
When your counterparty returns a revised version, upload the new .docx through the portal to open the next review round. You will approve a fresh estimate before that round begins.
Older Review Packet links
Some older deliveries may include a Review Packet link with a structured page (cover letter, executive summary, must-fix items). New submissions do not create Review Packets. If you have an old link that still works, treat it as confidential. If delivery fails or a link is expired, contact your account team.
Delivery issues
If you did not receive the email (portal or email submissions), check spam and confirm your authorized email address with your account team.
If you did not receive the Slack attachment, check the submission thread or ask your account team to confirm the channel connection.
